Evangelization
MMP provides not only temporal support, but also spiritual support to the people she ministers to. MMPs missions typically include masses, praise music, dramatizations and other spiritual outreach activities to nourish the spiritual needs of people of ALL social classes; both the poor and rich alike.

2006
Youth Evangelization
Throughout the month of July , Mary Mother of the Poor’s Youth Evangelization team visited various high schools across Luzon, giving recollections and presentations to help promote Jesus’s message of love to the youth. These presentations involved a series of action songs, dramatizations, talks, reflections and vocations information, for groups between 500-1000 students. Schools in Batangas included Lemery West, St. Mary’s Private School, Santo Tomas High, San Luis Elementary. In Lagawi, Ifugao the team put on a presentation for almost 600 students at St. John Bosco High School. The youth were excited and attentive to the reflections and gospel messages imparted by seminarians Barry Philips and Brian O’Neill. Lay missionaries Aleisha Currie, Hala Mattar, Ian Buzon, and Andre McKenzie assisted the two seminarians in leading action songs and dramatizations. The team will continue to pray for the young people of the Philippines and ask for Mary’s intercession to help guide them down the road to a happy, Christ-filled lives.

Retreat Centre
MMP is planning to build a retreat center in the Batangas region. Dr. Emilio Berberabe has generously offered to accompany Fr.Fernando for the July 2006 Philippine Mission and will donate the land where the center will be built. Once the site is identified and title transferred to Mary Mother of the Poor Philippines, a generous benefactor will fund the facility composed of a-100 bedroom retreat house, a 10 bedroom rectory and a Chapel. With the assistance of the Companions of the Cross priests and the Archdiocese of Lipa, Batangas, this powerful form of evangelization will be shared with not only the citizens of the Philippines but also with those within Asia. Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI has made a statement that the Philippines, the only Catholic country in Asia, will play an important in role in evangelization of the East. With God's blessing, this retreat center will be a response to our Holy Father's vision.
